Pengalaman Bersalin di Putra Medical Centre, Bukit Rahman Putra

Mula-mula memang no idea on where to give birth. Bila kandungan dah 5 bulan macam tu, baru survey few medical centres. Masa tu baru nak risau kot-kot baby keluar awal ke huhu.. I BW dulu pastu baru physically pergi melawat medical centres yang berkenan di hati. Medical centres tu mestilah memenuhi ciri-ciri di bawah:

1. Paling penting dekat dengan rumah. Malas sangat nak pergi jauh-jauh. Kot ada emergency ke, susah pulak. My workplace dengan rumah dalam setengah jam. So cari la dekat area Sungai Buloh, since I stay at Damansara Damai and my workplace kat Sungai Buloh. Lagipun senang husband kena ulang-alik ambil barang..tertinggal apa-apa ke.

2. Not too costly. Ni penting jugak. Takkanlah bersalin je nak habis belas-belas puluh-puluh ribu. Nanti lepas bersalin lagi nak guna duit lagi banyak, jadi kita simpan je la kat baby's future ye..

3. Ada facilities yang okay. Penting ada operation theatre (OT), in case of emergency.

Masa survey tu, ada tiga je yang I rasa dekat dengan rumah:
a. Damansara Damai Medical Centre (kat Damansara Damai). Yang ni dekat sangat dengan rumah. Tapi tak banyak review, jadi takut nak gi try. So REJECT
b. Pusrawi Kota Damansara. Mula-mula ingatkan sama dengan Pusrawi KL tuuu.. tapi lepas research on it, baru tahu lain. Memang dekat jugak dengan rumah, tapi my boss cakap maybe u want to survey Putra Medical Centre. Dia pernah bersalin kat sana, dia cakap just ok. I also went there to do 4/5D scan, tempat dia macam lama sikit, tak cantik sangat hehe..
c. Putra Medical Centre (kat Bukit Rahman Putra, Sungai Buloh). Dekat jugak. Very convenient. Banyak kedai dekat-dekat. Lagipun dekat ngan Butik Tateh yang I selalu pergi cuci mata tengok barang baby huhu.

So based on the criteria that I set above, I think Putra Medical Centre (PMC) is the most convenient and suitable for me. Cost pun almost similar dengan Pusrawi Kota Damansara, and the premise looks better in PMC.

Why I tak buat kat government? Tujuan paling utama sebab nak pilih doktor...bila check up je da terus pilih lady doctor. Lagipun ada bajet sikit untuk ni, so bolehlah spend sikit. (my company tak cover huu..) Oh ye, kalau nak bersalin kat sini, kena ada rekod check up kat sini tau..I think at least 3 times. Cost per check up dalam RM100++. Masa early pregnancy I did at Klinik Kesihatan, which is lagi thorough..penting ada rekod kat Klinik Kesihatan, in case tetiba nk bersalin kt government ke, x pun tengah outstation tetiba nak beranak ke..biasanya private x ambil kalau x pernah check up ngan dia. So back on lady doctor, google punya google, I found Dr. Ratna's name is up few times. So I just booked a slot and did antenatal check up with her. Dah 13 tahun katanya jadi O&G specialist. Dr. Ratna memang laku kat PMC. Kalau bilik dia je memang beratur panjang. Kadang-kadang macam pergi KK pulak menunggunya huuhu. She's a friendly gynae, ok la, selesa dengan dia. Masa check up lemah lembut je dia, tapi masa bersalin memang tukar terus. Dia memang bagi semangat..masa nak push x larat, rasa nak give up tu, she urged me to PUSH dengan nada yang sangat motivating! Terima kasih doktor..

Paling best bab makanan. Makan 6x sehari hokay. 3x meal, 3x snack time. Memang takyah bawak pun bekal biskut, Milo, 3-in-1 etc tu. Kalau nk bawak, bawak yg rare macam VCO, air selusuh, kurma..
This is the last breakfast before being a mummy.. tak selera dah masa ni

This is the first lunch after delivery..kita makan je tak pantang pun

What to bring? Actually before bersalin, I've packed so many things in my bag untuk stay hospital. Banyak sangat baca checklist apa kena bawak gi hospital huhu.. I pun x pernah duk hospital jadi blur sangat. Ni yang PMC sediakan and korang takyah bawak pun:
1. Toiletries. Ada sabun mandi, shampoo, berus gigi, ubat gigi, sikat, cute little plastic mug & even bedak powder.
2. As mentioned above, kudap-kudapan macam biskut, Milo 3-in-1, etc..
3. Baju baby
4. Baju ward (untuk ibu)
5. Pampers baby

Bawak baju korang satu je untuk keluar ward, sebab dalam ward kena pakai baju ward tu.  Pakaian dalam and maternity pad korang jangan lupa bawak pulak.

Regarding the rooms pulak, mula-mula kena tahan ward, I duduk bilik 4 orang, sedih sangat masa tu husband takleh tunggu sekali. Bilik 1 org penuh.. Alhamdulillah after bersalin dah boleh duduk bilik sorang..
Ini masa early phase contraction dekat four-bedded rooms tu..with my mum

Total cost 2 malam is about RM5000++, plus vacuum lagi.

Overall servis dari PMC sangat bagus.. I receive free bag and coupons-Anmum mummy bag and Anmum formula milk (tak pernah guna susunya sampai sekarang - 6mo baby), Huggies diapers and apa tah lagi lupa nak snap gambar. Banyak jugak giftnya :D

Nanti I update letak pics skali ye..

Till then.

Power Pumping

I think this is the moment where my milk supply has reduced. After researching and readings, I discovered about power pumping . Power pumping is good to stimulate back your milk production. But you need to be patient in doing it. Doing it once won't give you fast results. Consistency is the key. Following is a diagram on how to do power pumping to boost your milk supply.  If you have enough milk for your baby, you don't need to do this or else you'll be oversupply. Oversupply sounds good because you can ensure that you have enough milk for your LO, but in reality it is BAD! You are at a higher risk to develop mastitis! Please be mindful of your pumping :) Wish you goodluck in breastfeeding :) Toodles,

Of Writing (Or Typing?)

I'm not really a fan of writing. I used to have a blog years ago during my college years, well honestly... just to follow the trend of people having blogs. When I read back the posts, I sounded so childish and immature. It's funny to see when your biggest problem in the world is when you have three final exams scheduled on the same day or you just broke up with your boyfriend. Many things happened since then; I graduated from the Pennsylvania State University (how I miss you my alma mater!), back to Malaysia and got my first job (and still is now). My interest to write has lost. But now the spirit has come again. Hope this won't be hangat-hangat tahi ayam again. I find it crucial to write nowadays. There's tonnes of information on the Internet that can be used as a reference, and I wish to be someone that people use as a reference too :) Every time I have to make a purchasing decision or learn on new things like how often do I have to nurse my baby, or how
