Majlis Aqiqah Anak Pertama - Hurrera

Alhamdulillah,

Hurrera's aqiqah was successfully held during last Hari Raya Haji. Thanks to everyone that's helping out especially my mother and father that work more than myself in organizing this event. It was held at my parents' house. It was indeed a beautiful event :) Minus the hot weather of course.

The menu served was nasi beriyani, chicken dish, dalca, ayam berempah, etc and the main star is of course the lamb! Gulai kambing :) This is my mother's first time engaging this caterer as our usual caterer had other commitment during that time. It's not bad after all.

And this is my first time doing my own deco for an event. Thought of renting a dais but no, I want to cut cost. So DIY it is!

Baby girl could not let off her fingers from the mouth

My baby didn't cry at all when her father carry her around when they're reciting the selawat and cut her hair. Such a grown up already. 7 months has passed by so fast.

I even made the invitation card on my own :) Using the free templates of course. Was very happy with the outcome.

With the owner of Baycakes, I ordered honeycomb and fruit cake from her. She's my ex-classmate :)

Hope all the guests were happy and alhamdulillah we have done our responsibility as parents to our child :) Aqiqah is sunnat muakkad, the hukum is close to wajib. So to those expecting parents out there, do spare some for your child. EZqurban would be the easiest to do.

Pengalaman Bersalin di Putra Medical Centre, Bukit Rahman Putra

Mula-mula memang no idea on where to give birth . Bila kandungan dah 5 bulan macam tu, baru survey few medical centres . Masa tu baru nak risau kot-kot baby keluar awal ke huhu.. I BW dulu pastu baru physically pergi melawat medical centres yang berkenan di hati. Medical centres tu mestilah memenuhi ciri-ciri di bawah: 1. Paling penting dekat dengan rumah . Malas sangat nak pergi jauh-jauh. Kot ada emergency ke, susah pulak. My workplace dengan rumah dalam setengah jam. So cari la dekat area Sungai Buloh, since I stay at Damansara Damai and my workplace kat Sungai Buloh. Lagipun senang husband kena ulang-alik ambil barang..tertinggal apa-apa ke. 2. Not too costly . Ni penting jugak. Takkanlah bersalin je nak habis belas-belas puluh-puluh ribu. Nanti lepas bersalin lagi nak guna duit lagi banyak, jadi kita simpan je la kat baby's future ye.. 3. Ada facilities yang okay. Penting ada operation theatre (OT), in case of emergency. Masa survey tu, ada tiga je ya...

Power Pumping

I think this is the moment where my milk supply has reduced. After researching and readings, I discovered about power pumping . Power pumping is good to stimulate back your milk production. But you need to be patient in doing it. Doing it once won't give you fast results. Consistency is the key. Following is a diagram on how to do power pumping to boost your milk supply. If you have enough milk for your baby, you don't need to do this or else you'll be oversupply. Oversupply sounds good because you can ensure that you have enough milk for your LO, but in reality it is BAD! You are at a higher risk to develop mastitis! Of Writing (Or Typing?)

I'm not really a fan of writing. I used to have a blog years ago during my college years, well honestly... just to follow the trend of people having blogs. When I read back the posts, I sounded so childish and immature. It's funny to see when your biggest problem in the world is when you have three final exams scheduled on the same day or you just broke up with your boyfriend. Many things happened since then; I graduated from the Pennsylvania State University (how I miss you my alma mater!), back to Malaysia and got my first job (and still is now). My interest to write has lost. But now the spirit has come again. Hope this won't be hangat-hangat tahi ayam again. I find it crucial to write nowadays. There's tonnes of information on the Internet that can be used as a reference, and I wish to be someone that people use as a reference too :) Every time I have to make a purchasing decision or learn on new things like how often do I have to nurse my baby, or how ...
