I've Become a Part of Mary Jardin Family :)

YOU ARE MY CHOSEN ONE! From my post in FB , I’ve been chased by Shaklee, YL and MJ agents. Not sure why Ronella agent didn’t get me huhu. I’ve finally made up my mind and guess what I’ve chosen??? It’s MARY JARDIN! Why? I FALL IN LOVE with MJ the moment I read more details about it. Reasons: a. Chemical-free. Since I’ve started to incorporate natural, chemical-free products in my daily life - be it food, skincare etc, I found out about MJ early of this year. This brand is also NOT like any other agent-based skincare brand in Malaysia that uses tonnes of chemicals. Since I’m also a Mary Jardin user myself now, I can feel that this is the brand that walk its talk. Why chemical-free?? I’ll share in the next posts, insyaAllah.. b. Founder. The husband and wife duo are really inspiring. Ex-medical doctors with such big dreams. Follow Maryam Aziz to get to know more about her. Also her blog (currently inactive). Dr Maryam herself is such an inspiring mother of two. Oh and you...

Follow Me Everywhere

Whenever my baby is not around, this orange thingy will follow me.. It's my cooler bag to store breastmilk for Hurrera guys! So far during working, I've survived meetings, audits and the latest one, in a conference/ exhibition!! The picture above was taken during PIPOC 2017 at KLCC. I did my pumping at the prayer room and left my bag there. Only after I finished, the makcik cleaner there told me they've a special pumping room at Level 4. Never mind makcik, till next time :) With the advanced technology in breastpumps, breastfeeding your child is something that's really do-able for working mums! You just have to have that courage and determination. A little planning will help as well. So far I've never been sent outstation yet. Hopefully only after Hurrera weaned off.  Wishing all breastfeeding mummies best of luck <3 <3 Lotsa love,

DIY Cucumber Ice Cube

So this blog is a bit dusty now. Here I come to wipe the dust off LOL Hi guys, I'm so into DIY thingy now..my current addiction is ICING MY FACE!! Well at first I was like why in the hell would people do that? But after trying it myself, I somehow fall in love with it. Below is the step to prepare the ice cube: 1) Take about 3/4 of a big cucumber and blend it until it has the puree consistency. 2) Put it in the ice tray and freeze it 3) When it's already hard rock, take it out and keep it in a Ziploc, so you can use the ice tray for other usage. 4) And voila it's ready to be used! My current conscience on being chemical-free has also encouraged me to do this. Organic is the new cool! I'm looking forward to make my own mask in the near future :) <3 Toodles,

Majlis Aqiqah Anak Pertama - Hurrera

Alhamdulillah, Hurrera's aqiqah was successfully held during last Hari Raya Haji. Thanks to everyone that's helping out especially my mother and father that work more than myself in organizing this event. It was held at my parents' house. It was indeed a beautiful event :) Minus the hot weather of course. My very rajin pregnant sister The menu served was nasi beriyani, chicken dish, dalca, ayam berempah, etc and the main star is of course the lamb! Gulai kambing :) This is my mother's first time engaging this caterer as our usual caterer had other commitment during that time. It's not bad after all. And this is my first time doing my own deco for an event. Thought of renting a dais but no, I want to cut cost. So DIY it is! Was very proud with this wall of fame that I made from scratch <3 Garlands, honeycomb balls, paper fans, balloons and tissue pompom bought at Spotlight and Party Wonderland Baby girl could not let off her finge...

Me Being a Lactation Consultant

LC. Do I want to become one? At the moment, no. But I love to read and share breastfeeding knowledge with mommies out there, especially the ones who's still in confinement. Earlier of this week, a friend of mine who has just given birth about a week texted me, asking on breastfeeding. Her situation is like this. She does direct feeding, but at the same time she pump out her breast milk and supply her son with EBM. At the end of the day she still top up with formula milk. She observed that her baby needs 3-3.5oz per feeding. Each time she pump she can obtain about 3 oz. Then she was sad because she can't fully BF her child because she thought her milk supply is insufficient. She asked me on how to boost up milk production. I can see few problems here: 1. During confinement, why would you want to pump out your breast milk if you or your baby do not have any medical condition? 2. 3-3.5oz is too much for a newborn. You should teach your child to take less, before he/ sh...

Kriteria dan Panduan Memilih "Breast Pump" Terbaik dan Sesuai untuk Anda

What criteria are you looking for when you're about to purchase breast pump? As for me, those are the things that I consider as most important, arranged according to the degree of importance: 1. Double. This feature is important as it's time saving. 30 min for both sides of breast or 1 hour for the same job? 2. Electric. Yes I can't imagine myself pumping by pressing the manual handle of the breastpump. Must take a whole lot of work. 3. Hands free. My main purpose of buying breastpump is to use it at my workplace when the baby's not with me. Therefore I need something that's efficient and doesn't stop me from doing work. 4. Silent. I'll mostly use it in my lab/ office and also in meetings. I don't want to be the centre of attraction while pumping. 5. Economic. Yeah the pricing is important. I think every breastfeeding mother would dream to have Medela, especially the Freestyle, but not everyone can afford it. 6. Size of motor. Yes you don't wan...
